As the year draws to a close, artHARARE presents Twelve, a summer exhibition that celebrates twelve remarkable months of artistic ambition, discovery, and growth. In a year defined by movement, possibility, and bold reinvention, this exhibition brings together works that reflect the many rhythms, conversations, and creative energies that shaped 2025.

 

Twelve is both a celebration and a reflection. Each artwork becomes a marker of a moment a gesture, an idea, a breakthrough echoing the journeys of the artists and the evolving story of our gallery. From new voices that joined our programme, to milestones on international stages, to the expanding community around our Bree Street space, the exhibition honours the people and practices that made this year unforgettable. Presented in the warmth of the Cape Town summer, twelve invites viewers to pause, look back, and step forward. It is our way of thanking our artists, collectors, supporters, and friends who walked this path with us and of opening the door to the next chapter with optimism, curiosity, and creative promise
